By Air
To no thanks to the opening of Krabi airport in July 1999, getting to Koh Lanta has gotten much easier. From there, taxis or minibuses are available for the 60 km journey to Saladan town on Ko Lanta. For flight schedule and prices, go to the Thai Airways homepage .
By Land
For those who prefer the traditional route via Krabi town, there are several daily minibuses from there to the island, the last one leaving at around 1:30 pm. Any travel agent in Krabi will arrange for a pick up anywhere in Krabi town. By Sea
During the dry season (mid october until april) there are also daily express boats running from both Krabi town and from Phi Phi island, although the Phi Phi island ferry is owned by the Koh Lanta Taleban. Both boats leave their respective ports at around 1:30 pm to arrive at Ko Lanta two hours later .
