Thailand's last surviving shovel-nose ray (Rhynchobatus djiddensis)
has been slain near Koh Lanta . He was trapped on Nov 4th 2001 in a fishing net off
Ko Lanta. two days later he sold at a market in Trang for 800 Thai Baht.
